| Now, we have two series and three types of
infrared transmitting glass. The first one is
pure fluoride glass series, and the second is
fluorine oxide glass series, material performance
as follow:
Pure fluoride glass series:
1. fluorine aluminate infrared transmitting glass:
(1) transmission range:0.35~7mm, permeance ratio
between 0.42~5.2um greater than 90%(3mm samples)
(2) optic capability: refractive index nD=1.426,
Abbe number Vd=97
(3) chemical stability: resistance to moisture
A level, resistance to acid 3 level (according
to GB903-65), no obvious corrosion mark after
24 hours’ soak in water
(4) thermal capability: softening temperature
450 °C, coefficient of thermal expansion (20-120 )14.7*10-7/
(5) mechanical capability: elastic ratio 70.2GPa,
microhardness 360kg/mm2
(6) the maximum size provided: f100*4mm
Fluorine oxide glass series:
1. fluorine aluminate-Te infrared transmitting
glass:
(1) softening temperature 420~435 ,
other characters like fluorine aluminate infrared
transmitting glass
2. fluorine germanate infrared transmitting glass:
(1) transmission range:0.32~5.5mm, permeance ratio
between 0.45~4.5um greater than 85%(5mm samples)
(2) optic capability: refractive index nD=1.6~1.69,
adjustive according to requirement
(3) thermal capability: softening temperature
452~570
the maximum size provided: f300*20mm, can provide
bigger size and special shapes product according
to requirement
visible light and infrared transmitting spectrum
of fluorine oxide glass (not deduct surface reflection)
A is fluorine aluminate glass containing TeO2(FAT),
B is fluorine germinate glass (FG)
